Book cover titled "The Angel Who Stayed" by Dani Hart. The cover features a young woman with long hair, sitting on a wooden fence, looking at a sunset with a farm in the background. A flock of birds is flying across the sky. The subtitle reads, "He died the night of the crash... but he never left her."

Danielle believed her future was already written. At nineteen, she had everything she ever wanted—a man she loved with her whole heart, plans for a future filled with marriage and children, and the certainty that forever was waiting just around the corner.

Then one snowy winter night changed everything.

A devastating car accident leaves Danielle fighting for her life and Shane gone forever.

Or so everyone believes.

As Danielle struggles through the long aftermath of loss, grief becomes a constant companion. While the world expects her to move forward, she remains haunted by the life she and Shane were supposed to have. The dreams they shared become painful reminders of everything that was stolen in a single moment.

But unknown to everyone around her, Shane never truly leaves.

Bound by a promise made long before the accident, he remains beside her—watching over her through heartbreak, protecting her through tragedy, and quietly guiding her through the darkest chapters of her life.

As the years pass, Danielle must learn that loving someone doesn’t always mean holding on. Sometimes it means finding the strength to live when they no longer can.

Spanning decades of love, loss, family, healing, and second chances, The Angel Who Stayed is an unforgettable emotional romance about the bonds that survive death, the promises that never fade, and the extraordinary power of a love that refuses to let go.

Because some souls leave this world.

And some stay.

Perfect for readers who love emotional contemporary romance, tearjerkers, soulmates, and stories that believe love is stronger than death.

🏒 ARC READERS WANTED 🏒

THE DETROIT DIESEL ARE BACK. 🔥

And I’m officially looking for ARC readers for Offside Hearts — Book Two in the Detroit Diesel Hockey Romance Series! But this isn’t your typical hockey romance. Marcus and Claire Kennedy are already married. Already in love. And quietly falling apart.

He’s spent fourteen seasons fighting for wins on the ice. She’s spent years trying to understand the road trips, missed moments, and demands of being an NHL player’s wife. And together, they’ve spent five heartbreaking years trying to have a baby.

Now, while Marcus and the Detroit Diesel chase the Stanley Cup, their marriage is facing a fight neither of them knows how to win.

ARC APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

📅 September 1–15, 2026

I’m looking for readers who love emotional, mature hockey romance with real-life struggles, strong marriage dynamics, plenty of hockey, spice, humor, heartbreak, and hope.

As an ARC reader, you’ll receive an advance digital copy of Offside Hearts in exchange for an honest review.

Reviews are never required to be positive—just honest. ❤️

And this book is particularly special to me.

Marcus and Claire’s story is fiction, but infertility is something I understand personally. I went through the procedures, the pain, the waiting, and the uncertainty before eventually becoming pregnant with my miracle baby.

I wanted Offside Hearts to show something we don’t always see from the outside:

A marriage can look picture-perfect and still be fighting battles no one knows about.

Infertility is real.

Marriage can be hard.

Love can get messy.

And sometimes a second-chance romance isn’t about finding someone new.

It’s about choosing the person beside you all over again.

✍️ A LITTLE LOOK INSIDE MY WRITING PROCESS…

For those who don’t know how I write my books, here’s a little behind-the-scenes look into my process. I have a folder for every book I want to write. 📁 And right now? I have several folders sitting there, patiently waiting for their turn. 😂. Whenever an idea comes to me—a scene, a conversation, a character, a plot twist, a random moment that suddenly appears in my head—I write it down and put it into the folder of the book where I think it belongs.

Sometimes those folders sit for months. Sometimes years. I keep adding pieces until eventually I look at a folder and realize…There’s a book in here. That’s when I start putting everything together, connecting the pieces, filling in the gaps, moving scenes around, adding things, deleting things, changing my mind approximately 472 times 😂… and eventually, I have a first draft.

Is it an odd way to write a book? Probably. But it works for me.

So while it might sometimes look like I’m popping books out like a Pez dispenser 🤣, I promise I’m not. That book you suddenly see me working on may have been quietly growing inside one of those folders for months—or even years—before I ever told anyone about it.

And right now, one of those folders has me DEEP in the world of AQHA Quarter Horses. 🐴. I’m researching the horses, training methods, terminology, competitions, disciplines, rules, and all the little details that come with that world. Because if I’m going to put something in one of my books, I want to get it right.

Maybe that’s the perfectionist in me, but I never want to throw terminology onto a page just because it sounds good. If my characters are living and breathing that world, I want readers who actually KNOW that world to believe them. You deserve that level of effort.

So yes… there are several folders waiting. Several stories quietly growing. Several characters I already know that you haven’t even met yet. And when one of those folders finally has enough pieces? Well…I guess you’ll find out which book comes next. 😉📚
